Kentucky’s creationist Ark Encounter is an 800-acre park in located in Kentucky with a 510-foot-long replica of Noah's Ark built to meet the exact specifications described in the bible.

The park which is a profit driven entity designed to spread creationism is a secondary attraction to the Creation Museum 40 miles away. The structure which has the capacity to contain thousands of people at the same time is described as the world’s largest timber framed structure. Although the turn out on opening day wasn’t much as the ark isn’t complete yet, this attraction could be the next spot for Christian tourists all around the world. A few concerns have been raised concerning the structure’s historical accuracy. The structure presents a more biblical approach to things as it suggests the world is 6,000 years old as opposed to the 4.5 billion proposed by scientists and as a result includes model dinosaurs in the belief that humans and dinosaurs coexisted at the time of the big flood.
