Picking up from where we Game of Thrones left you last week, Sunday night’s episode was rather dominated by intense confrontations and as usual, a little bit of blood here and there. Where do we begin with this?
Last week, we were handed a series of possible outcomes from our friends on Reddit, surprisingly, one of them panned out accurate at least to a fair point. Arya did indeed get stabbed, manoeuvred her way out of danger and ended up fighting the waif in total darkness but not as straightforward as we presumed. Nearly bleeding to death, she took a stop at Lady Crane’s show and got the help she needed at her house only to wake up the next day to find her helper in a pool of blood – the waif had come to complete the task at hand and Arya had no place to hide, she had to run... run far away to her hideout where she had tucked away her sword for the longest time. Totally secluded and in darkness, Arya did what she was trained to do; take down the waif.
Now a girl has a name, her name is Arya Starkof Winterfell and she’s going home.
Jamie Lannister and Brienne of Tarth were reunited in what was supposed to be a night to forget as fate made them temporary enemies who were to fight to the death. Fortunately, a bold confrontation between Jamie and Lord Edmure Tully saw them remain friends for the time being.
After the bloody massacre last week, the Hound set out to find justice the only way he knows. He sought and found the outlaw members on the brotherhood, killed all four with an axe and later helped hang the rest.
Honestly, I’m getting a little tired of Daenerys and her over the top entrances, I’m watching this episode and thinking “Oh God, not again”
Just when Tyrion thought he had the city under control, the slave masters decide to make an angry comeback to disrupt Grey Worm and Missandei making jokes.
It’s always one mess or the other here. The queen mother finally unleashes Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane on one of those spiritual fanatics and of course it ended in blood, not just any sort of death, the Mountain sort of death, the head bashing, eye popping, head smashing sort. This definitely will attract some form of punishment but one can hardly tell what its going to be considering how things over there ended when Tommen calls an unexpected meeting in the throne room but banishes his mother to the gallery.
