The 73rd annual Golden Globes awards ceremony, on Sunday, marked the start of Hollywood’s 2016 award season! The Golden Globes was presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and was hosted by Ricky Gervais this year.

The ceremony took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and guess who got you covered; NigerianReporter.

NigerianReporter spoke with Uzo Aduba of “Orange is the New Black”, Amy Landecker of “Transparent”, Gaby Hoffmann of “Transparent” or “Girls”, whichever you may know her from, and Bryshere Y. Gray of FOX hit series “Empire” about Nigeria on the red carpet of the biggest award show and party in Hollywood. This turned out to be a lot of fun and of course, they were able to coax out some Nostalgia from one person in particular.

Also featured in these video clips courtesy NigerianReporter is a chat with Dr. Bennet Ifeakandu Omalu, the man behind the movie “Concussion” and a little talk with ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ star Viola Davis. Working her way through these interviews, Simi Solanke of NigerianReporter even got some of them to give their best attempts at Naija accents, pidgin English and traditional greetings.

NigerianReporter also welcomed Bryshere Y. Gray AKA Hakeem from the tv show Empire where he also gave them some highlights on his career and a possible visit to Nigeria.

Watch the hilarious video, as the Golden Globes go Nigerian for the first time ever!
